2 dead, 10 injured so far?

 On Monday, 04 September 2023, two people died and nearly a dozen were injured when a three-storey building collapsed in Uttar Pradesh’s Barabanki.

The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team also immediately arrived at the scene to rescue four people who were still trapped under the debris.

The incident happened nearly around 3 a.m. on Monday in Barabanki’s Fatehpur.

All of the injured have been referred to the Lucknow Trauma Center for treatment. People residing in the neighbouring houses were also trapped.

The Chief Medical Superintendent (CMS) of the district hospital confirmed the deaths.

According to the Barabanki Superintendent of Police, Dinesh Singh, a total of 16 people were initially trapped inside the building. “The NDRF team has been called in for assistance, and a rescue operation is still going on to save the trapped,” the police official said.
