The convoy of Haryanas chief minister was shown black flags by the protesting farmers.
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar was on his way to Ambala today and his convoy was greeted with black flags by the farmers who are agitating at the Delhi-Haryana borders against the three farm laws introduced by the government and are demanding for a complete roll back of the farm laws. The BJP- led government in the state of Haryana has claimed that only a handful of farmers are not happy with the new laws.
CM Khattar was visiting Ambala to address public meetings in order to support the party’s mayoral and the ward candidates for the civic body polls in the coming days. The CM’s convoy was greeted with waving black flags while the motorcade was crossing the Agrasen Chowk. The farmers also raised multiple slogans against the government and said that the protests will go on until the farm laws are repealed.
A large number of police were deployed near the Agrasen Chowk and they managed to provide a safe passage to the Chief Minister and his convoy. At the Ambala-Hisar highway farmers had gathered in huge numbers in the grain market to block the highway
BJP MP of Ambala Rattan Lal Kataria a Union Minister was also shown black flags by a group of farmers on December 1 in Jandli village adjoining Ambala city. Approximately two weeks later another BJP MP from Kurukshetra, Nayab Singh Saini who was visiting the Khurdi village to lay the foundation stone of some projects and inaugurate a community center faced an outrage of the protesting farmers at Yamunanagar. The protestors also threw black paint on the foundation stones.
