In the Chandni Chowk area of North Delhi, two guys were held up for the theft of Rs 1 crore in cash by four unidentified individuals. According to the police, the suspects rode up on bikes and targeted the males in the middle of the road before taking the money.
The men claimed to the police that they were delivering cash to a client when they were actually taking it from DLF Tower 1 in Moti Nagar to Chandni Chowk on behalf of Kamlesh Shah, a moneylender in Karol Bagh.
"Suresh and his colleague Rakesh were taking the money to Chandni Chowk," SS Kalsi, DCP (North), stated. Around 3.30 p.m., they had already left. Twenty minutes later, four men on two bikes approached them and threatened them with gun.
The victims claim that the accused snatched their two bags.
According to the police, a case of robbery and the Arms Act has been filed.
