AAP hit out at the BJP for failing to fulfill poll promises of 2017!!
On Thursday, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released its manifesto - what the party called Vachan Patra - ahead of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) polls.
As per the information, The manifesto was released at a press conference addressed jointly by BJP President of Delhi unit Adesh Gupta and MP Manoj Tiwari.
Following the announcement of the manifesto, a verbal spat erupted between the BJP and AAP - two major rivals for the upcoming MCD polls.
Adesh Gupta accused Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal of having a nexus with a tanker mafia and promised every household tap water.
“Every house should get tap water, but Arvind Kejriwal has no interest in providing that facility to the people of the city because he has built a nexus with the tanker mafia, '' said Adesh Gupta.
AAP leader Atishi Marlena, questioning the BJP on the poll promise it had made to the people in 2017, asked why the BJP does not present its report card on the work done in the last five years.
“We are waiting for them (BJP) to tell us what work they have done in the last 15 years. BJP failed to fulfill the promise to give a clean Delhi,” the AAP leader said.
In 2017, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) entered the MCD elections for the first time and won in 49 wards. And while it did not win the elections, the AAP managed to replace the Congress party, which won only 31 wards, as the main opposition.
The voting for the MCD polls will take place in a single phase on December 4, and the counting of votes will be done on December 7.
