Schools in Mumbai reopen for classes 8-12 with appropriate Covid-19 behaviour and SOPs.
It has been directed to approach the health department to arrange for Covid-19 vaccination centres for students and staff to inoculate them with Covid-19 jabs.
Classes 1 to 5 will resume from 27th September with 50 per cent capacity.
Attendance shall not be mandatory for students to attend offline classes and parent's consent is mandatory for such classes, said the officials.
On Wednesday, the state reported 444 new Covid-19 cases taking the overall tally to 5,96,606.
The students will have the option of attending the classes either offline or online.
A guideline has been issued in view of the reopening of classes.
On Monday, the state witnessed more than 1,500 active cases of Covid-19.
