Fireworks In Varanasi On Dev Deepawali

Laser show over ganga river…

On Friday, UP's Varanasi witnessed fireworks and a fantastic laser show on the occasion of Dev Deepawali.

The program was attended by UP CM Yogi Adityanath and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar.

The festivities lighted the sky at night over the river Ganga, as thousands of devotees gathered on the Ghats for the celebration.

The chanting of 'Har Har Mahadev', people enjoyed boat rides as fireworks lit up the sky. The celebrations also featured a grand Aarti at Saryu Ghat in Ayodhya.

The laser and sound show at Chet Singh Ghat further added a sparkly atmosphere, as the city lit up with spiritual fervor.

UP CM Yogi Adityanath called Kashi "unique" on the occasion and said that the city has its tradition and culture while transforming remarkably under PM Narendra Modi's leadership.

CM Yogi said during a Dev Deepawali event in Varanasi, "In the last 10 years, we have witnessed a better India, and the people of Kashi have been part of this. Ten years ago, experts did not even recommend using the water of the Ganga for bathing due to pollution."

He further added that the cleaning of the Ganga under the Namami Gange project was initiated by PM Modi. "Under his leadership, the river has been cleaned as part of this project. Now, its water is so clean that one can use for drinking," he added.
