On Wednesday, 11 September 2024, Police said, Bollywood actor Malaika Arora's father, Anil Arora, died by suicide after jumping off the terrace of a building in Mumbai's Bandra.
Top police officers have rushed to the spot, and no suicide note has been found so far from the place.
The officials are yet to determine the possible reasons behind the suicide.
According to the officials, the actor was not at home when her father took this extreme step.
Malaika's family members, along with her ex-husband Arbaaz Khan, arrived at her residence to offer condolences following the news of the suicide.
Malaika Arora was just 11 years old when her parents separated. She and her younger sister, Amrita Rao, who was 6 years old at that point of time, were raised by their mother, Joyce Polycarp.
Malaika made her mark in the industry as an actor, model, dancer, and video jockey (VJ). She has starred in films like Kaante and EMI. She also performed in songs such as Chaiyya Chaiyya, Gur Naalo Ishq Mitha, Maahi Ve, Kaal Dhamaal, and Munni Badnaam.
