Mamta Banerjee hospitalised after alleged attack
In a picture tweeted by her nephew and Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee this morning,Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee can be seen lying in a hospital with her left leg in a cast. The politician looks visibly shaken and in pain in the picture. Abhishek Banerjee along with the picture tweeted "BJP brace yourselves to see the power of people of BENGAL on Sunday, May 2nd. Get ready,".
Mamta Banerjee has previously alleged that she was manhandled outside her car in Nandigram, from where she will be contesting in state election later this month. According to didi, she was frisked by a group of people just outside her car and had the door shut on her in the absence of police personnels. The doctors at the hospital also added that Mamta has sustained injuries on neck and shoulder also and was on pain medication.
The BJP,on the other hand dismissed the incident as a political stunt, "Not one eye witness seems to corroborate Mamata Banerjee's 'attack' version. People of Nandigram are upset and angry at her for blaming them and bringing disrepute," tweeted Bengal BJP.
