On Wednesday, the Rachakonda Police issued New Year's Eve celebrations guidelines in Hyderabad. The police said that all event organizers, indoors and outdoors, should obtain permission from the police at least 12 days before the event.
According to the guidelines, outdoor sound systems are permitted until 10 p.m., while indoor systems must stop by 1 a.m.
"All the events at farmhouses, inside pubs should conclude as per given time and the bar and restaurants should follow the rules," the police said.
No firecrackers or firearms at the events. The police instructed organizers to avoid overselling passes or tickets to prevent potential law-and-order issues.
The Police said that entire event premises, including parking spaces, should be under CCTV surveillance as per the Telangana Public Safety (Measures) Enforcement Act, 2013.
Parking arrangements should be made based on the crowd attending and additional contingency plans adequately made and those should be to the satisfaction of traffic police officers, the guidelines stated.
It said that there should be a specially designated way for the entry of women and children.
"Deploy women security guards who are identifiable and brief them properly to take care of women and children," it said.
