BJP in UP welcomes former IAS officer and PM Modis advisor.
Arvind Kumar Sharma a former IAS officer who spent multiple years in the PM Modi’s team and is also one amongst his most trusted aides joined the BJP today in Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow. Elections are due for 12 seats of the legislative Council on January 28 in the state of Uttar Pradesh and AK Sharma is tipped for the legislative council in UP. He might also be given an important position in the Yogi Adityanath’s government in UP.
In the Center’s Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) MR Sharma was holding the position of Secretary. This week he declared his voluntary retirement which came as a surprise to many and as we can see that now he is all set for his role in politics in Uttar Pradesh. He worked with PM Modi not only in Delhi but was there in Gujarat when PM Modi was the then Chief Minister of Gujarat. As the CM of Gujarat Narendra Modi had at first began his stint in 2001 and the bureaucrat had already joined him since then as a Secretary.
Mr Sharma a low profile officer was a part of both the Chief Minister’s Office and Prime Minister’s Office and with his results driven approach over two decades he gained the trust of PM Modi. He joined the PM’s office in 2014 after BJP’s landslide victory at the Lok Sabha elections.
