Rahul Gandhi's Plane Denied Permission To Land At Varanasis Airport

The Congress leader said that the airport authorities were under pressure&


Varanasi: On Monday, the Congress leaders alleged that Rahul Gandhi's airplane was denied permission to land at Varanasi's Lal Bahadur Shastri Airport.

Congress leader Ajay said that the airport authorities did not grant permission as they were under pressure from the ruling party. They gave the excuse of President Droupadi Murmu's visit for this.

He added that Rahul Gandhi's flight was scheduled to land at Varanasi airport on Monday night, but was "deliberately" not given permission.

"Rahul Gandhi was scheduled to arrive there and further go to Prayagraj, but the airport authority did not allow his plane to land due to pressure from the BJP government. They said there is heavy aircraft movement and traffic congestion so did not give permission," Rai alleged.

He also said that the BJP government is 'scared' of Rahul Gandhi and hence they did not allow the landing at the airport in Varanasi.

"PM  Modi has been anxious since Rahul Gandhi led the Bharat Jodo Yatra. Now, they are troubling Rahul Gandhi in all possible ways," he added.

The Congress MP was scheduled to arrive in Varanasi on Monday night and to offer prayers in Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple today (14 Feb. 23, Tuesday).

Notably, On Monday evening, President Murmu visited Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple after offering prayers at the Kotwal Baba Kaal Bhairav temple in Varanasi.
