Delhi to get light showers?

The IMD said that there are chances of heavy rains in several parts of Tamil Nadu including Chengalpattu, Kancheepuram, Cuddalore, Villupuram, Mayiladuthurai, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Pudukkottai and Ramanathapuram districts of the state.

The IMD also issued an advisory to fishermen asking them not to venture into the sea as "very rough" sea conditions are likely to occur in the sea.

Meanwhile, the Regional Meteorological Center (RMD), National Capital, forecasted cloudy weather in Delhi with a possibility of light, which is expected to improve the air quality in the city.

As per the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data recorded at 7 am, the air quality at Lodhi Road stood at 228, at IIT Delhi, the AQI was at 283, and at Terminal 3 of the Indira Gandhi International Airport, the AQI was hovering at 313.

In UP, the IMD predicted the possibility of rain/ thundershower on Thursday, especially in the western districts of the state.

Punjab and Himachal Pradesh are also likely to receive showers today.

According to the Regional Meteorological Centre Punjab, thunderstorms and lightning with moderate rain are likely over parts of Sangrur, Patiala, SAS Nagar, Fatehgarh Sahib, and Rupnagar.

On Thursday, 30 November 2023, along with the two northern states, Chandigarh is also expected to face light showers.
