On Shashtris Death Anniversary Repeal Farm Laws: Mamata Banerjee
Mamata Banerjee the Chief Minister of West Bengal on Monday urged the central government to repeal the three farm laws as she paid tribute to the former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on his 55th death anniversary b remembering the famous slogan given by him i.e. “Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan.” Her tweet on twitter read “Tribute to the former prime minister, on his death anniversary. He gave us the inspirational slogan ‘Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan.’ We are proud of our farmer brothers and sisters. Farmers are the heroes of the nation. The center MUST repeal the anti-farmer Acts NOW!”
CM Banerjee has been combating continuously against the introduction of new farm laws and has been very vocal about it. The farmers have now been protesting for a complete 47 days till date outside Delhi. The political party Trinamool Congress led by Ms Banerjee has also extended their support.
