Ex-interior minister of Pakistan logged against permanent danger to the government...

In the early hours of 2 February 2023, the former interior minister of Pakistan Sheikh Rashid Ahmed got arrested.

The Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed is a close ally of Imran khan and contradicts the police that the police took him into custody with his nephew from his house in Rawalpindi.

Rashid mentioned in a polyclinic hospital in Islamabad where he was taken for a medical check-up that his crime is that he is standing with Imran khan and in his career, he became minister 16 times and never got charged with corruption.

Raja Inayat Ur Rehman, president of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) in the Rawalpindi division filed the complaint against Rashid Ahmed in Islamabad Aabpara police station for causing permanent damage to the ex-president Ashif Ali Zardari.

The FIR added that AML Chief Rahid tried to badmouth the former president, with his provocatory allegations that he wants to cause a fight between PTI and PPP to disrupt the country’s harmony.

Rashid was shifted to the secretariat police station after the medical examination.

Following the case, Imran Khan posted on his Twitter account that they have never been biased and that the arrest of Mr Rashid is a plan of the vindictive government they have in the county and the plan of Ashif Zardari to hide the corruption that he invested in terrorists.
