Opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav dared CM Nitish to arrest him over new orders.
The government of Bihar has ordered actions to be taken against all sorts of anti government and defamatory and offensive posts on social media. The agency in charge of cyber crimes in Bihar is the Economic Offences Wing and it has asked all state departments to report any “defamatory, wrong’ posts on social media against any minister, MP, MLA or any other official. This morning when the decision came into light opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav gave away the first challenge to the government of Bihar on this order by calling the chief minister “Bhishma Pitamaha of Corruption” on Twitter.
The RJD leader said “The perpetrator of 60 scams, Nitish Kumar, the Bhishma Pitamaha of Corruption, the protector of criminals, the weak chief of an immoral and unconstitutional government. Bihar police sells liquor. I challenge the chief minister to arrest me under this order.” Tejashwi also compared CM Nitish to Hitler and said “Protestors cannot protest. Jail for those who write against the government. People are not allowed to take their complaints to the opposition leader… Nitish ji we know you are completely tired but have some shame.”
The state of Bihar is one that has rarely acted in offensive views and comments on the internet but the letter that the Chief of the Economic Offenses Wing sent yesterday to all secretaries of the state government changes that. Nitish Kumar had been prone to angry outburst whenever criticized by the critics mainly from opposition leader Tajashwi. The CM in almost all his public meetings has alleged that social media is full of all sorts of misinformation against the government.
