The Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan died on 8th Oct days after his heart surgery.
The Veteran Union Minister of Modi Govt and the Founder of the Lok Janshakti Party Ram Vilas Paswan has deceased on Thursday 8th October days after the heart surgery. The saddening news was posted by the deceased son Chirag.
The 74 years old cabinet minister of Consumer fairs had initiated much food program's which helped the needy in which was to give rice and wheat at a cheaper rate.The veteran minister had suffered heart disease and was admitted to a hospital in New Delhi on 11th Sept and recently underwent heart surgery on 4th October 2020.The officials of Home Affairs said a state funeral will be accorded to Paswan and the national flag will fly at half-mast in Delhi and state capitals on Friday as the mark of respect. Cremation will take place in Patna on 10th Oct Sunday.
Paswan was known for his long survival in the political world. He was in almost all Central governments since 1989 and served six Prime ministers, starting with the cabinet of VP Singh. The Modi Govt. he was the Union minister of the Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution portfolios.As a Dalit leader, he was always been one of the powerful names in Bihar and the nation. In 1975 he was also jailed and made his way into record books for the 1977 parliamentary elections when he won from the Hajipur Lok Sabha seat in Bihar with the highest-ever margin.As being a BJP leader he tied his alliance with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2014 with dropping the Lalu Yadav's Rashtriya Janata Dal.
