Three Indian-Origin Students Lose Lives in US Car Accident

Two Injured in Tragic Collision in Georgia...


Last week in Georgia, USA, three students of Indian origin tragically lost their lives in a car accident, while two others were injured.

 

All five students, aged 18, were enrolled at Alpharetta High School and the University of Georgia.

 

Authorities suspect that excessive speed may have played a role in the fatal collision that occurred in Alpharetta, Georgia, on May 14th.

 

According to reports, the speeding vehicle overturned and came to rest upside down in a tree line after the driver lost control.

 

Aryan Joshi and Sriya Avasarala tragically lost their lives at the scene, while Anvi Sharma succumbed to her injuries during hospital treatment.

 

Officials have stated that the injured students, Rithwak Somepalli and Mohammed Liyakath, are currently receiving treatment at North Fulton Hospital in Alpharetta.

 

Sriya Avasarala was a member of the UGA Shikaari dance team, while Anvi Sharma was known for her performances with UGA Kalakaar and an a capella group.

 

The Shikaari group posted a heartfelt tribute to Sriya Avasarala, expressing, "You were such an amazing dancer, friend, and person to be around."

 

The Alpharetta High cricket team shared on Instagram that Aryan Joshi, who was scheduled to graduate from high school next week, was "one of our biggest supporters," emphasizing that his support played a crucial role in their victories.

 

Last month, tragically, two Indian students from Telangana lost their lives in a multiple-vehicle collision near Lake Pleasant in Arizona.

 

Nivesh Mukka and Goutham Kumar Parsi, both aged 19, lost their lives when the car they were traveling in collided head-on with another vehicle in Peoria.
