Tirupati's ISKCON Temple Gets Bomb Threat

4th threat mail in 3 days…

On Sunday, ISKCON temple in Tirupati received a bomb threat. Temple authorities filed a complaint in the nearest police station. It was about receiving a threatening email, claiming ISIS terrorists would blow up the temple.

Tirupati police started immediate action and conducted a number of searches.

The nearby police got bomb squads and dog units to check for any explosives in the temple area.

However, no explosives were recovered from the temple premises.

Circle Inspector Srinivasulu confirmed the news and assured that appropriate efforts were going on to identify the threat givers. The police are suspecting it to be yet another hoax mail.

In the last 3 days, this is the fourth hoax mail the temple town of Tirupati received.

Earlier on Saturday, two hotels also received bomb threats, which were later confirmed as hoax threats.

Before that, three different hotels in the town received bomb threats, increasing the anxiety among residents and devotees.

The threat report also showed the alleged drug trafficking network kingpin Jaffer Sadiq, who was arrested in Tamil Nadu by the NCB and the ED.

A probe was initiated into the matter after following an FIR.
