Narendra Modi stated that the upcoming Union Budget is the series of mini-budgets presented last year
In beginning of the Budget Session of Parliament, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said, "the day marks the beginning of the Parliament session of a new decade that will see a bright future for India. The economic packages of 2020 were as good as mini budgets". Mr. Modi set out his priority of using the first Parliamentary session of the decade.
PM Modi also said, "This is the Budget Session. For the first time in India's history, in a way, the Finance Minister had to present 4-5 mini budgets in 2020 in the form of different packages. So this Budget will be seen as a part of those 4-5 mini budgets, I believe this," at Parliament House today. "Today commences the first Session of this decade. A golden opportunity has come before the nation to fulfill the dreams seen by the freedom fighters", Mr. Modi further added.
The Budget session of Parliament began today where President Ram Nath Kovind Is also presented and address to the two Houses. Today's address, however, has been boycotted by some 19 parties, protesting against three new agricultural laws agitation that has sparked a commotion among major sections of farmers across the country. This is the first time Parliament is meeting being late for the budget due to a different crisis since the Monsoon session last year.
