Woman Pays Rs. 4.5 Lakh, Faces Broken Seats on Delhi-Toronto Flight

Air India Under Fire for Pricey, Uncomfortable Experience?

A woman, accompanied by her husband and two children, shared her dissatisfaction with an Air India flight from Delhi to Toronto, citing discomfort due to issues such as non-functional in-flight entertainment systems and broken seats.

In a widely circulated video, Instagram user Shreyti Garg voiced sharp criticism against Air India, expressing disappointment with her ??4.5 lakhs ticket purchase. She showcased the broken overhead lights, illustrating how she had to navigate in the dark with the flashlight on her phone to assist her toddler.

On the social media platform, she lamented, "Seated together, but almost everything was nonfunctional. Broken seats, NO entertainment system. Forgot a picture of the broken seat handle; had to shield my toddler from exposed wires."

Despite lodging complaints about the subpar services, she asserted that the airline staff provided no satisfactory response to address the issues.

Despite repeated complaints to the crew, no meaningful action was taken. Even after attempting to reboot the system, the issues persisted, leaving the family to fend for themselves with two kids in tow.

Garg criticized the airline, stating, "@airindia, not only are ticket prices high, but you also made the journey inconvenient for parents traveling with kids, rather than ensuring a smooth experience."

Since its posting, the video garnered over 2.8 million views, 11k likes, and various reactions in the comment section.

Despite the significant traction her post gained on Instagram, with numerous comments, Air India has not responded to the viral content as of now.
