29 Trains Delayed in Delhi

Rise in train delay due to temperature fall...


On 9 January 2023, the National Capital is facing a lot of problems due to  dense fog  and cold waves condition with other parts of north India reduce visibility  this morning that led to delaying in 29 trains including Anvt Garib Rath, Sealdah Rajdhani Express , Howrah Rajdhani Express , Jainagar Garib Rath Express and 24 others in its fifth consecutive day.

According to the Safdarjung observatory the minimum temperature that recorded is 3.8 degree Celsius this morning and the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an orange alert for certain parts of North India.

IMD mentioned Zero visibility in Bhatinda with a satellite image of fog from regions Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, northwest Rajasthan and Delhi up to 48 hours and decrease in intensity and distribution on their tweet. Dense weather is also recorded in certain areas of Noida and Gurugram.

As per the AQI (Air Quality Index) the 0-100 is considered as good while 100-200, 200-300, 300-400 and 400-above are considered as moderate, poor, very poor and serve respectively.

According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR), the air quality was recorded in the 'very poor' category on Sunday with a measure of 422 in Delhi.

The government has issued a notice for private schools to close the classes till 15 January.
