Rs 1,700 RT -PCR charges
The Union Government has asked the states and the union territories to ensure RT -PCR test for travelers coming from "At- Risk" countries on the first day of arrival and retesting on the eighth day.
The Covid-19 led New Variant omicron has become a virus of concern. Strict norms have been imposed for the travelers arriving from risk zones. The rules are applicable from Tuesday midnight and the authorities are stepping up their vigil for effective surveillance over the concern of Omicron.

1. The RT-PCR test is mandatory for travelers arriving from risk zones.
2. You will be only allowed to leave the airport after the result of the conducted test.
3. The RT -PCR test charges will be around Rs 1,700
It said, among other requirements, international passengers have to fill the self-declaration form on the air suvidha portal. During the process, incoming passengers mat be advised to plan their onward journey keeping in the mind the stay at the airport to obtain the test result.
The Delhi international airport has arranged to accommodate up to 1,500 international passengers at a time. Also , Mumbai had set up 30 Rapid PCR machines which are available for the passengers having connecting flights with short connecting time, said the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj international airport (CSMIA)
The countries designated under the risk countries include European countries, The UK, South Africa, Brazil, Zimbabwe, Singapore, Israel, Bangladesh, Botswana, China, Mauritius, New Zealand, and Hong Kong.
