A gang threatens to attack Saitya Brata Das

On 17 January 2023, A Jawaharlal Nehru University associate professor Dr.  Saitya Brata Das got a threatening call over the phone to attack after the accident done by a gang of six to seven men near the RK Puram Marg Delhi on Saturday. He has lodged a complaint at Vasant Kunj police station.

According to the senior police officer, the varsity's teachers' body has asked the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) administration to give support  to Das and  will actively put pressure on Delhi Police to ensure that action is taken against the criminal gang.

As per the statement by Dr. Das that he saw a man falling down from his bike while he was coming from from DPS RK Puram on Palam Marg and stopped at the red light at Vasant Vihar, suddenly a motorcycle rammed into his car from behind at a traffic signal under the flyover near vasant vihar depot in RK Puram on the afternoon) around 3.20 pm.

He further mentioned that he did not wait for the signal to turn green and immediately drove towards the JNU and at the JNU entrance gate he asked the security guards to call the police and save him from the goons.
