No lock-down decision in the National capital
On Monday, The health minister, Satyendar Jain said the Delhi government is closely monitoring the situation of omicron. While interacting with reporters he said, "the city government has already put in a place a"graded response action plan"
According to the statement given by Delhi government authorities, "testing all coming from the countries affected by the omicron variant and cautioning that this variant is far more transmissible than the delta, they said the situation is being closely monitored."
Adding more the minister mentions that according to the graded response system, when the positivity rate will reach to 0.59 percent that is out of 1000 people tested positive five are tested positive then the first level of this system will be implemented. Further said, the second level will be implemented when it reaches a positivity rate of 1 percent and so on.
As per the data, India carries 23 cases of Omicron so far. Out of it, two fresh cases were presently reported. And the National capital carries one case of omicron. The omicron infected returned from Tanzania to the National capital and was a fully vaccinated man who got trapped with the new variant.
