PM answered the Cong. Chief Sonia Gandhi calls BJP like pillars of a democratic system are under assault
New Delhi: Just a day after the President of Congress party, Sonia Gandhi commented on Indian democracy is at a "crossroads" and that the "pillars of a democratic system is under assault." The PM turned the balls into the opposition party by denoting them as "dynasty of corruption (that passed) from generation to generation... became part of the political tradition... makes the country hollow".
While addressing the nation via a video conferencing on the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, the Prime Minister at entire "generations of corruption" had acted with impunity and went off even not punished but, under his government, "citizens' trust in the government has increased".
Also, he feels that in the last few decades, it seems that the generation of corruption is not punished, others commit corruption with more power. Due to this reason, it has been a political tradition for everyone in some of the states in the nation. Surely, this dynasty of corruption from generation to generation makes the country hollow.
According to his speech, while addressing the nation, he said that in today's scenario the citizens of the nation has built up the trust in the government. Old laws have eliminated to reduce the undue pressure of the government. Efforts are being made to make citizens' lives easier."
On the contrary, Cong. chief has written a column in Hindustan Times on Friday that, "The world's largest democracy is at the crossroads. That the economy is in deep crisis is obvious. However, what's less appreciated is that every one the pillars of a democratic system of governance square measure beneath assault."
She has attacked Modi government for choking dissent (and branding it as "anti-national" and "terrorism") and using central investigative agencies like the CBI and Enforcement Directorate to "target political opposition.
She also commented on the Bihar election alliance with Nitish Kumar. That after so long they still went off to seek votes on a religious basis targeting the Dalits.
