Hindi Mahostav held at The Suryaa Hotel, New Delhi?


On February 11, 2024, Prof. Sunil Baburao Kulkarni, Director of the Central Hindi Directorate under the Ministry of Education, Government of India was the Chief Guest of the Hindi Mahostav organized by the Indian Council for Hindi and Education in collaboration with the Hindi Academy.

 

Prof. Sunil Baburao Kulkarni has contributed significantly to the field through published articles, edited books, researched projects, and translations.

 

He is a well-known educationist, professor, and author having more than 25 years of experience in this field.

 

Currently, he serves as the Director of the Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, Agra, and as the Secretary of the Kendriya Hindi Shikshan Mandal at this Hindi Mahotstav he was honored with the Bhartiya Shiksha Ratan Samman 2023 for his outstanding contributions to the Hindi Language.

 

The Indian Council for Hindi and Sanskrit Education is a body that works for the promotion of Hindi and Sanskrit language.

 

The event organized by it was about the importance of Hindi and Sanskrit languages among today's youth and in today’s digital time and participants from various sectors, including education, government, and cultural organizations, graced the occasion, highlighting the widespread support and interest in furthering the cause of Hindi and Sanskrit.

 

The event served as a platform for meaningful discussions, sharing of ideas, and networking opportunities aiming at advancing Hindi and Sanskrit languages.

 

Several universities also participated, including the National Institute of Open Schooling, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi University, Indira Gandhi National Open University, Jamia Millia Islamia, Aligarh Muslim University, Banaras Hindu University, Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts, and many others.

 

Other prominent educationists who were honored with the Bharatiya Shiksha Ratan Samman 2023 were:

 

Among them were Prof. Murli Manohar Pathak, the Vice Chancellor of Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Rashtriya Sanskrit University, Ms. Nidhi Chibber, an IAS officer serving as the Chairperson of the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education), Prof. Sudhir Jain, Vice Chancellor of BHU (Benaras Hindu University), Dr. Sachchidanand Joshi, Member Secretary of IGNCA (Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts), Dr. Saroj Sharma, Chairperson of NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling), and Professor Jasim Mohammad, Chairman of CNMS (Centre of Narendra Modi Studies), were acknowledged for their impactful work. Also, Professor Mohammad Gulrez, Vice-Chancellor of AMU (Aligarh Muslim University), and Professor Nageshwar Rao, Vice-Chancellor of IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University), received recognition for their contributions. The list also included reputed personalities as Mr. Lakshmi Das, the Vice Chairman of Harijan Sevak Sangh, Mr. Sanjay Kumar Rao, Secretary of the Harijan Sevak Sangh as well as Mr. Sanjay Kumar Garg, Secretary of the Hindi Academy.

 

Furthermore, Mr. Shyam Suri, an IAS officer currently serving as Manager at Kasturba Balika Vidyalaya, and Mr. Vinod Kumar Dubey also from the Harijan Sevak Sangh, were acknowledged for their dedication to education.

 

The event also saw the participation of notable literary figures from the world of Hindi literature, including -Dr. Janki Prasad Sharma from the Hindi Academy, Dr. Prithvi Singh Kedarkhandi, Dr. Savita Singh, Professor Govind Prasad, and Mr. Harjendra Choudhary.

They were all honored with the Bharatiya Shiksha Ratan Samman 2023 for their outstanding contributions in the field of Hindi and Sanskrit Literature.

 

The event also welcomed prominent figures from the realm of Hindi journalism, including well known News anchor Mr. Tabish Hussain from NDTV, News anchor Ms. Sabeena Tamang Deshmukh from Network18, News anchor Ms. Aparna Moazzam from the Network 18, and News Reporter Mr. Pushpendra Mishra from the Amar Ujala.

 

Their significant contributions were recognized and were honored with the prestigious Bharatiya Shiksha Ratan Samman 2023.

 

In a nutshell, this Hindi Mahostav was a significant step towards promoting Hindi and Sanskrit language education.

 

With the participation of prominent educationists and the recognition of their contributions through the prestigious Bharatiya Shiksha Ratan Samman 2023 the event highlighted the collective dedication towards preserving and advancing India's linguistic heritage.

 

It served as a platform for fruitful discussions and collaborations, emphasizing the importance of concerted efforts in nurturing these languages for future generations and creating a generation that talks more about India's native languages.
