The mob that stormed the US Capitol on Wednesday was called “American Patriots” by Invanka Trump in a tweet on the media of the US reports and minutes after that she faced a huge backlash as the screenshot of the tweet started circulating in the internet by the internet users. During the clash four people died after the supporters of Donald Trump entered the US Capitol on a Wednesday evening in extraordinary events when the congress was meeting to certify the election win of the President-elect Joe Biden.

Ivanka Trump’s controversial tweet read “American Patriots- any security breach to our law or disrespectful to our law enforcement is unacceptable. The violence must stop immediately. Please be peaceful.” This tweet drew criticism and was later deleted by her but this was not done fast enough as the screenshot of the tweets were already taken and it started doing rounds on social media. Ivanka then responded moments after that saying in her tweet “No. Peaceful protest is patriotic. Violence is unacceptable and must be condemned in the strongest terms.

After the pro-Trump mob attackers attacked the US Capitol 52 people were arrested who tries to stop the Congress from certifying Joe Biden who is the President-elect. The social media accounts of the US President were blocked by Twitter and Facebook temporarily as the tech giant scrambled to crack down on the baseless claims about the elections made by him.
