: Health Minister said- 18 to 20 vaccine trials in different phases in the country

Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan said on Monday that people over 50 years of age will start getting vaccinated in two to three weeks. He also said that 18 to 20 vaccines are currently in different stages of trials in the country. Harshvardhan said that in the next two-three weeks, the work of vaccinating people above the age of 20 years will start. He further said that India will start supplying vaccines to 20-25 countries. On the vaccine concerns, he said that the country-made vaccine is safe and effective. The Health Minister said that there has not been a single case of corona in 188 districts of the country since seven days. At the same time, no new cases have been reported in 22 districts since 21 days. Harshvardhan said that it is important that people have to follow every rule of Corona right now. He appealed to the people to take care of the actual vaccine as well as the social vaccine.

On the other hand, people taking the first dose of Corona vaccine in the country are coming in very small numbers for the second dose. The Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry said on Saturday that only 7,688 people got the second dose out of those who got the first dose.

This is only four percent of the total people who have got vaccinated. The vaccination campaign has been going on since January 16 in the country. So far, 1 lakh 91 thousand health workers have been vaccinated. Explain that Covishield and Covaxin have been approved in India.
